Our Mission
The mission and commission of the Church is to proclaim the message of the reconciliation and to endeavor to make all men see the dispensation of the mystery. We, like Paul, must preach the entire Word of God in light of this Gospel and strive to reach those in regions beyond where Christ is not yet named. |
Statement of Faith
The Bible: The entire Bible in its original writings is verbally inspired of God and plenary authority.
The Godhead: There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
The Person of Christ: Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
Total Depravity: All men by nature are dead in trespass and sins and are, therefore, totally unable to do anything pleasing to God.
Redemption: God justifies ungodly sinners by His grace upon the ground of the blood of Christ through the means of faith. This complete salvation is bestowed as the free gift of God apart from man's works.
Eternal Security: All of the saved are eternally secure in Jesus Christ.
Person and Work of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is a Person who convicts and empowers the believer.
The Church: The one true church in this dispensation is the body of Christ whose historical manifestation began with the apostle Paul before he wrote his first epistle.
Gifts: All the sign gifts of the Acts period, being temporary in character, have ceased.
Walk: Due to Christ's victory over sin and his indwelling spirit, all of the saved may and should experience deliverance from the power of sin through obedience, but man's nature of sin is never eradicated during this life.
Lord's Supper: The Lord's Supper is for the members of the Body of Christ to observe "until He comes."
Baptism: All saved persons have been identified with Christ and made members of His Body by the one divine baptism.
Resurrection: Jesus Christ was resurrected bodily from the dead: therefore, everyone will have a bodily resurrection: the saved to everlasting glory, and the unsaved to everlasting punishment.
Second Coming of Christ: The rapture of the Church will occur prior to the Great Tribulation. The second coming of Christ to reign over His Kingdom will be premillennial.
